JOHANNESBURG - Activists have raised concern that convicted murderer Donovan Moodley is once again appearing at a parole hearing.
Moodley was convicted for the 2004 kidnapping and murder of Bond University student, Leigh Matthews, and has served nearly 18 years of his life sentence.
Women and Men Against Abuse say parole is a very muddy process, that appears to favour the convict.

The group says it has had experiences of parole being granted, where there was no evidence of either remorse or rehabilitation.
Matthews' father, Rob says the family is disappointed, and it seems there's little appreciation by the courts of the plight of victims.
Moodley’s hearing will be held at the Johannesburg Correctional Services facility next Wednesday.
