KWAMAKHUTHA - Residents of the Adams Mission community in KwaMakhutha, KZN are appealing for government assistance after heavy rains and flooding devastated their homes.
Six people have died due to mudslides and flooding.
Emergency services are on-site.
eNCA's Nkosikhona Malinga-Mnisi spoke with Adams Mission ward councillor, Thembelihle Makhanya who said, "It's not easy at all to accept the situation and I believe the community, you can look at the attendance of the community, to this situation: it's not easy."
"We hope as the community, we'll keep on supporting the [affected] family. I think that is the only thing that we can provide."
