Africa's growing population straining resources

Africa's population is predicted to increase to nearly 2.5 billion people by 2050 from the current 1.4 billion.

JOHANNESBURG - Africa's growing population will soon put pressure on the continent's energy supply.

That's the warning from ONE Campaign in its report about finding solutions to climate change.

The organisation's Olawunmi Ola-Busari says that Africa is home to the ten most vulnerable countries in the world.

She further says that the continent is susceptible to climate change.

Africa's population is predicted to increase to nearly 2.5 billion people by 2050 from the current 1.4 billion.

This will put further strain on the continent's electricity and food supply.
