AKA and Tibz murder case postponed to June 2026

DURBAN - The pre-trial hearing of five men accused of killing rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and businessman Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane has been postponed until the 19th June 2026.

In court on Wednesday, issues around witness statements were discussed between the state and the defence teams.

Two other accused remain in custody in Eswatini, with their delayed extradition continuing to stall the trial.

AKA and Tibz were shot dead outside Wish Restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road over two years ago.
