Alleged Parliament arsonist to appear in court

CAPE TOWN - The way forward in the Parliament Fire trial is expected to be decided on Friday.

Alleged arsonist Zandile Mafe has been declared unfit to stand trial.

He faces charges of housebreaking, terrorism and arson.

Mafe was arrested in January last year for allegedly causing damage estimated at around R2-billion.

Lawyers are expected to propose how ro proceed with the case.
