ANC Eastern Cape meets as members turn to court to block provincial conference

KUGOMPO - The ANC in the Eastern Cape is meeting on Tuesday to iron out internal issues.

A faction of disgruntled members has turned to the courts in an attempt to try and interdict this weekend's provincial conference.

Secretary Lulama Ngcukaitobi cites irregularities in a scathing letter. He highlights the unlawful issuing of QR Codes for Branch General Meetings, and questions membership system manipulation.

Ngcukaitobi also said the application of the Step Aside rule is inconsistent.

He blamed party Secretary General Fikile Mbalula of failing to address these issues.
