QONCE, EASTERN CAPE - A group of angry foreign nationals took to the streets of Qonce in the Eastern Cape.
They were demanding justice for the death of Pakistani national Asif Masih. Witnesses say the 42-year-old was killed in a kidnapping gone wrong.
Asif's brother, Javid Masih was part of the group of people that marched to a nearby police station with Asif's remains.
Javid said the police do not offer any protection to foreign nationals in the area which has seen a rise in a number kidnappings for ransom.
"My brother went out to buy somethings for his child and 5 guys approached him and try to kidnapped him wanted to take the car key and they hit him when he refused to give them so they then shot him 2 times. The government and police do not care about us since we are foreigners here in South Africa," explained Javid.
The group says at the moment no arrests have been made for Asif's murder.
