Armed Zim police forestall anti-Mnangagwa protests

HARARE - Street protests in Zimbabwe failed to get underway after heavily armed police were deployed in the streets of Harare.

The protests were to demand the resignation of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Former ZanuPF leader and fugitive Blessed Geza called on Zimbabweans to throng the streets on Friday, saying Mnangagwa and allies are corrupt and looting state coffers.
