JOHANNESBURG - The murder case of the four-year-old known as Baby Nikita, is set to move to the Johannesburg High Court.
Prosecutors have withdrawn the murder charge against the child's mother.
But she has been ordered to remain in custody. Meanwhile the father's murder charge remains unchanged.
Both accused are now expected to stand trial as the case enters its next phase.
Baby Nikita was raped, abused and beaten death allegedly at the hands on her 32-year-old father.
The toddler was treated in ICU two days before she died.
