Basic Education Bill not a threat to the Afrikaans language - Education Department

JOHANNESBURG - Afrikaans schools are worried they won't be able to control their own language policies in the future if the Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill is passed.

The changes will see Education Department Heads having final say on language and admission policies.

The Federation of Governing Bodies of SA Schools says this is an infringement on their rights.
