Boksburg blast death toll rises to 41

JOHANNESBURG - The death toll in the Boksburg tanker explosion has risen to 41.

The incident occurred on Christmas Eve when a gas tanker exploded after becoming stuck under a low-lying bridge.

Some people in the immediate vicinity were killed. Vehicles and buildings were damaged.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi says police have concluded their investigation and are ready to take the matter back to court.
