JOHANNESBURG - British-Zimbabwean national Ndodana Tshuma, wanted for the murders of his wife and two daughters in the UK, remains behind bars in Johannesburg.
He has withdrawn his bail application as police finalise their investigations.
Tshuma is facing extradition as well as charges related to the possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The state’s case is still missing evidence, including a ballistic report and extradition papers.
Since his first appearance last week, the State has sought to verify Tshuma's legal immigration status within the country.

Authorities have classified him as a fugitive after he ran away from the UK to evade arrest.
UK authorities have confirmed that the three victims, his wife and two young daughters, died of blunt-force trauma after their bodies were found in their Bedford home.
Reports have also suggested that Tshuma's wife was in the process of divorcing him.
Tshuma must serve his time in South Africa for the unlicensed firearm charge first, meaning it could still take weeks or months before he is extradited to the United Kingdom.
