PRETORIA - Controversial North West businessman Brown Mogotsi says he will need protection once the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry concludes.
Mogotsi returned to the stand for a second day on Wednesday, where he revealed that his fears had intensified following an alleged attempt on his life in Vosloorus in the East Rand.
It is alleged that unknown gunmen opened fire on his red Chevrolet on 3 November
However, speculation is growing over whether the incident was real or staged.
A witness had revealed to eNCA at the time that there were no other vehicles around Mogotsi’s car when the shooting happened.

But Mogotsi claimed he survived the shooting “by luck” as he briefly, provided his side of the story at the commission.
Despite the alleged attack, Mogotsi insisted he wanted to come to the inquiry even though he was told by his lawyers that he was not obliged to.
“I’m coming here at my own cost. I’m paying for my own security protection,” he told the commission,” he said.
