Business as usual as Maponya Mall reopens after deadly attack on e-hailing driver

PIMVILLE - Just two days after the deadly shooting of an e-hailing driver at Maponya Mall in Soweto, the center has reopened its gates to the public. 

This reopening has not been well received by residents of Soweto who had been pleading for a seven day closure of the mall to allow for investigations to happen and those responsible to be held accountable.

To date heavy law enforcement has been reinforced at the mall as they monitor the situation. 

But residents say this is was of suppressing them. 

Calls for justice are growing following a deadly shooting Soweto.

The attacks are believed to be linked to a long-standing conflict between the taxi industry and e-hailing drivers.
