Call to exempt schools from blackouts

JOHANNESBURG - There are calls for schools to be exempted from rolling power cuts.

This follows calls for medical facilities to be protected against blackouts.

The National Association of School Governing Bodies says it's having a devastating impact on schooling.

It says if schools are not exempt, government must provide alternative power sources.
