Calls for calm as Middle East tensions intensify

JOHANNESBURG - There have been calls for calm and de-escalation in the Middle East from the United Nations. 

The UN’s Security Council met for an urgent meeting on Sunday following Iran’s drone attack on Israel. 

On Saturday, Iran launched about three hundred drones and missiles on Israeli territory.
