Case of trio who forced child to smoke pipe postponed

JOHANNESBURG - The case of three adults accused of encouraging a toddler to smoke a  mandrax-laced pipe has been postponed to 4 August for bail instructions.

The suspects, including the child’s mother, face charges of child abuse and attempted murder.

The incident, which was caught on video, caused public outrage after going viral on social media.

The accused have confessed to filming the child.
