KENYA - The world is marking the start of Cervical Cancer Prevention Week.
Officials say while cervical cancer is a preventable disease, it is still the most common cause of cancer in the African Region.
It’s believed to account for 22% of all female cancers and 12% of all newly diagnosed cancers in both men and women every year.
Dr Nelly Mugo, who heads the Sexual Reproductive Health Research Program at Kenya Medical Research Institute spoke to eNCA.
