PRETORIA - Residents in several parts of Centurion and nearby areas will face a ten-hour power outage this Saturday.
This comes as the City of Tshwane’s Energy and Electricity Business Unit is expected to conduct planned maintenance and repairs on one of its electricity lines.
In a statement on Friday, the city said the unit will switch off the 132kV Line 1 supplying the Nyala Substation and Lyttelton switchyard Substation.
The planned shutdown will take place from 8am to 6pm.
“This proactive measure is aimed at preventing major breakdowns and improving the reliability and stability of the City of Tshwane’s electrical network,” the city said.
The planned maintenance will affect the following areas:
