Cholera outbreak | Denosa calls for inquiry
JOHANNESBURG - Denosa says the City of Tshwane must be held responsible for the deaths in Hammanskraal.
It says government needs to step up and deal with the water crisis.
The health department has confirmed a cholera outbreak in the area.
The illness has already led to ten deaths with dozens more in critical condition in hospital.
Gauteng Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko said response teams have been dispatched and water samples have been collected for tests.
As part of preventative measures, the MEC encourages residents to boil tap water and add a pinch of salt before consumption.
