JOHANNESBURG - For a while, there has been speculation regarding the relationship between EFF Leader Julius Malema and Major-General Feroz Khan.
Speculation was fueled by various photo snapshots of the two at an EFF event and other circulating rumors.
On Monday, the nature of this relationship was laid bare, with the alleged cigarette smuggler Mohammed Sayed implicated as an intermediary between the two individuals.
The Madlanga Commission was informed that Khan maintained an alleged quid pro quo relationship with Malema, communicating with Sayed.
eNCA tried to get a comment from Julius Malema, whose communication team said they would not comment for now and reliance should be on Malema's affidavit.
While the Commission traverses parts of Khan's evidence in camera, it is not clear whether Sayed will be subpoenaed to testify on camera.
eNCA's Pule Letshwiti-Jones has more details in the video above.
