City of Joburg mayoral committee to be sworn in

JOHANNESBURG - The City of Johannesburg’s Mayoral Committee is expected to be sworn in on Monday.  

This comes after Executive mayor, Councillor Dada Morero’s announcement of the new Mayoral Committee on Saturday.

Morero says his MMC will focus solely on improving service delivery.

The committee has a mountain of challenges to overcome as the city is still battling water shortages, potholes, and illegal power connections.

Morero took over as mayor last week after the DA’s Mpho Phalatse was ousted in a motion of no confidence.
