Civil aviation day | SA has top-flight status in the US

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa can fly to the United States without restrictions.

Civil Aviation Authority CEO Poppy Khoza says this is the result of the public entity's clean audits for nearly a decade.

It's also been passing USA audits and has maintained a Category 1 status, the highest in the eyes of the United States.

"Of note is that we've had clean audits for nine years and this is a record we must preserve," she said.
