Class of 2023 | 945 copying cases detected in KZN, Mpumalanga

PRETORIA - Exams quality assurance body Umalusi has announced there were no paper leaks in the 2023 matric final exams.

Umalusi has however expressed concern over the nearly 1,000 cases of group copying detected in the National Senior Certificate examinations.

This came out in Pretoria as Umalusi approved the 2023 end of year national examination results.

It said 763 cases were detected in KwaZulu-Natal and 164 detected in Mpumalanga, with investigations still ongoing.
