Commission calls for solid action against teenage pregnancy

JOHANNESBURG - Babies arriving on Christmas and New Year's Day are widely celebrated,

But there's growing concern that some of the new mothers are teenagers.

The Commission for Gender Equality says these cases are often swept under the carpet.

According to the commission spokesperson, Javu Baloyi, early and comprehensive sexual education is critical

Traditional leaders, as well as stakeholders in the education and health sectors, are called to take the lead in addressing the issue.
