Concerns over increasing criminal activities in KZN

DURBAN - There’s growing concern of crime spiralling out of control in KwaZulu-Natal. This following a series of recent incidents.

Premier Thami Ntuli says the number of young people linked to serious criminal activities is worrying. 

The past two weeks have seen a deadly cash-in-transit heist, mass murder incidents and gang violence involving children as young as nine.

An MEC tackling corruption in his department received death threats, while a Mandeni councillor was gunned down in the area. 

Ntuli says KZN government is committed to intensifying the fight against crime.

He’s convened a two-day Provincial Council Against Crime in Durban to identify new crime-fighting strategies for the province.
