Concerns over rise in kidnapping cases

CAPE TOWN - There's growing concern around the rising numbers of kidnapping in the country.

Since March this year, a total of 34 people were reported kidnapped in the Western Cape alone.

A 35-year-old Ukrainian woman, Anna Penev, was kidnapped and reunited with her family a week after she was taken.

Another incident that shocked the nation, is that of a Chinese woman who was kidnapped at a liquor store in Bellville.

Although there's a national task team set up to tackle kidnappings, cases are still rising.
