Convicted rapists flee from EC jail

JOHANNESBURG - Officials have launched a manhunt for two inmates who escaped from the Ngqeleni Correctional Centre.

The two are both convicted rapists who fled on Freedom Day.

Correctional Services spokesperson, Singabakho Nxumalo, said Siyabulela Khohliso and Athini Mzingelwa escaped from a sport field.

"The focus is on getting these two inmates back into custody," he said.
