Cope lodges court application against Madisha, Bloem, Hleko
JOHANNESBURG - The Congress of the People has lodged a court application barring senior members Willie Madisha, Dennis Bloem and Mzwandile Hleko from meddling in its affairs.
In August, Cope's Mosioua Lekota told the media that the three had been suspended.
However they have denied this, saying they did not receive suspension letters.
Cope was formed in 2008 by disgruntled members of the ANC.
After the 2009 elections, it experienced a leadership dispute between factions supporting Lekota and those supporting Mbhazima Shilowa.
