Corruption Crisis | Seven Home Affairs official dismissed

JOHANNESBURG - The Home Affairs Department said its clean-up drive is intensifying.

Seven more officials have been dismissed for misconduct following disciplinary processes.

This brings the total number of dismissals to 63 since the formation of the Government of National Unity in July 2024.

Another 16 officials have been suspended as investigations continue.

Some of the suspensions are linked to cases the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) is working on.

Minister Leon Schreiber said 95 misconduct cases have been opened in total.
