Cosatu: Nersa's decision to grant Eskom 18.65% tariff hike reckless

JOHANNESBURG - Trade union federation Cosatu has slammed the National Energy Regulator's decision to grant Eskom an above-inflation increase of 18.65 percent.

The increase comes into effect from the first of April this year.

This is bad news for South Africa's already over-burdened consumers.

Cosatu spokesperson Sizwe Pamla says the decision was reckless.
