JOHANNESBURG - The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) welcomes the decision by Transport Minister, Barbara Creecy, to dissolve the Road Accident Fund Board.
The decision comes after longstanding governance failures and legal battles that have negatively impacted RAF operations.
The board had been described as woefully inadequate and lackluster.
The move aims to stabilise, cleanse and fix the RAF.
Minister Creecy will table the RAF and Road Accident Benefits Scheme (RABS) Bills in Parliament.
