CAPE TOWN - Three people convicted for kidnapping and trafficking Joshlin Smith are set to find out whether their application for leave to appeal their convictions has been successful.
Kelly Smith, Jacquen Appollis and Steveno van Rhyn were each sentenced to life in prison.
The court accepted the State’s version that they sold six-year-old Joshlin to a sangoma in Saldanha Bay in February last year.
To this day, the little girl has not been found.
Meanwhile, former co-accused turned State witness, Lourentia Lombaard, is expected to hear whether she will be granted immunity from prosecution.
