Crime busters welcome Ramaphosa's intervention

CAPE TOWN -Crime experts say the measures President Cyril Ramaphosa rolled out will aid in rooting out corruption within the South African Police Service.

Ramaphosa has established a Judicial Commission of Inquiry following claims of corruption and political interference levelled against Police Minister, Senzo Mchunu and other senior officials.

Ramaphosa placed Mchunu on special leave and Professor Firoz Cachalia, has been appointed Acting Police Minister.
