Crime in SA | Appeal for info on church robbery

Bishop Malusi Mpumlwana says the religious community will need to discuss safety measures at places of worship.

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Council of Churches is urging anyone with any information about this weekend's robbery to come forward.

Bishop Malusi Mpumlwana says the religious community will need to discuss safety measures at places of worship.

"I think for me the most important appeal right now is to our communities because these thieves live in our communities. We know them," Mpumlwana said.

"Somebody must know somebody and so we are appealing for every support that can be given to law enforcement to apprehend because we just need to have one arrest of a group like this to at least send a message to the others."
