Crime in SA | Hiking up Cape Town parks security

CAPE TOWN - SANParks’ Sea, Air, and Mountain special operations teams are hard at work to ensure the safety of visitors in the Table Mountain, Lions Head and Cape Point areas this weekend.

The teams are collaborating with the City, SAPS and other law enforcement agencies.

Officials say they've recorded a mugging in Tokai forest with no serious injuries reported but maintain that one incident is one too many.

Tourists hope the increased security presence will continue throughout the year.
