JOHANNESBURG - The DA is pleading with voters to give it a majority in Knysna.
It said this is the only way to return the tourist hostpot to its former glory.
The party said weak coalition governments have failed the people.
DA's Levael Davis need to consider giving a party majority.
"We've been in coalitions and the DA are very good coalition partners. We sign agreements with people, but it's been tried before in Knysna over multiple years and it doesn't work. So the DA said, give us a majority so that we are able to actually govern with stability because that is what our town needs.
"So it's pipes and pumps, we're looking at bottles and pavements, we're looking at public safety, we're looking at pollution and we're looking at municipal performance. Those are the four or five pillars that we have, but in the immediate, a new council would have to come in and look at the season readiness plan."
