JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance (DA) has offered to add an additional R500 000 to the cash reward for information that could assist investigation into the deaths of multiple women in Ekurhuleni.
This amount follows a R400 000 cash reward which was announced by Acting National Police Commissioner, Puleng Dimpane, on Tuesday night.
This then brings the total cash reward to R900 000.

In a statement on Wednesday, the DA said their intention is to add to the “efforts of law enforcement”.
“The DA is adding an extra reason for all relevant information to be handed over now, to address this crisis quickly. Ekurhuleni cannot wait. Women cannot wait. Justice cannot wait,” the party said.
On Tuesday, Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia reflected on the state's cash reward in place as one of other measures being implemented as investigations into the matter continue.
Other measures include the establishment of a high-level multidisciplinary team to lead the investigation.
There will also be an increased police presence through Operation Shanela in Kempton Park and surrounding areas.
