DA wants security contracts of Gauteng public hospitals reviewed
JOHANNESBURG - The DA in Gauteng wants the security contracts of provincial public hospitals reviewed.
This follows a recent incident in which an unidentified visitor gained access into the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital's restricted area.
They then cut piping that supplies oxygen to the ICU ward.
At least 23 patients were affected with at least one reported to have later died.
The DA's Gauteng shadow health MEC, Jack Bloom is blaming security.
He's called for the perpertrator to face harsh charges.
