Friends and family turned out to support Abira Dekhta’s father, Aslam, who attended the men’s second court appearance. The bail application has been stalled because three of the accused don’t have legal representation. The state then read out additional charges against all seven men, who may not be identified in any way at this stage. eNCA's Ayesha Ismail reports. #dstv403

They are also being charged under the Provisions of Organised Crime Act, which is a Schedule Six offence.
This means they’ll need to prove exceptional circumstances as to why they should be granted bail.
Abira was kidnapped on her way to school on 4 October.
She was rescued eleven days later from a house in Khayelitsha.
The men have been remanded in custody until their next appearance on 13 December.
