Deputy President Mashatile assesses service delivery backlogs in EC

JOHANNESBURG - Deputy President Paul Mashatile says South Africa must learn from the success stories of other countries to improve the lives of its citizens.

He says government will eventually overcome its challenges with the energy crisis.

Mashatile was on his first official visit as the Deputy President to the Eastern Cape to check progress on the government's District Development Model that was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa in 2019.

He says the province is on the right track in addressing the key functions of the government's District Development Model.
