JOHANNESBURG - National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza has referred an ANC letter to the Section 89 Impeachment Committee for consideration.
The ANC raised concerns over the committee's recommendation of Advocate Thandazani Madonsela as evidence leader.
That's after revealing that he previously gave the party legal advice on Section 89 parliamentary rules and processes.
The ANC insists it does not question Madonsela’s integrity or independence.
The committee is still in the process of selecting an evidence leader to assist with its work.
Parliament said the committee, not the Speaker, should decide on the matter.
