PRETORIA - The Gauteng province and parts of Johannesburg have been battling water outages going back several weeks, and even months for some.
Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina says the shortage can't be blamed on the maintenance that's been conducted in Lesotho Highlands Water tunnel.
It links the Katse Dam with Muela Power Station and has been offline for six months
The Minister stated that the deteriorating infrastructure is the main problem and that replacing it will require time and a great deal of dedication from the municipality.
