BENONI - Sipho Lucas Phiri, a former Prasa security guard, is accused of raping at least 37 women and girls between 2018 and 2023.
Even though some of the complainants were minors, Phiri claims the sex with them was consensual.
Phiri's trial has taken a significant turn with a DNA forensic analyst taking the stand. His defence team has raised questions about the reliability of the DNA report.

It's alleged Phiri's modus operandi was to offer women a lift home in his car. He would then allegedly draw his gun, drive to a secluded area and rape them.
Phiri faces 114 counts ranging from rape, and holding his victims hostage, to defeating the ends of justice.
The trial continues on Tuesday, with the investigating officer expected to take the stand.
