DRC president wants sanctions against Rwanda
JOHANNESBURG - DRC President, Felix Tshisekedi, is calling for Rwanda to be subject to international sanctions.
He's also slammed the AU and the UN over its inaction on Rwanda's role in the eastern DRC conflict.

Thembisa Fakude from the Africa Asia Dialogues said, "Mr Tshisekedi finds himself in a much more complicated position because he's both beholden to the East African community and SADC."
"SADC is demanding certain changes and implementations from him also, at the same time, calling for a ceasefire with certain conditions."
"Although these two regional powers are meeting and discussing the way forward, under the ambit of the African Union but there still are some disagreements, not very pronounced disagreements but there are differences between the East African community and SADC in terms of a way forward in the DRC," he said.
