Drug mule busted at OR Tambo Airport
JOHANNESBURG - A suspected drug mule has been arrested at OR Tambo International Airport.
He was found in possession of heroin worth more than R2-million in his luggage.
The 52-year-old South African had just arrived from Ghana when police intercepted him in an intelligence-led operation.
A search of his luggage uncovered bullet-like objects and blocks containing substances suspected to be heroin.
It’s the third suspected drug mule arrest at OR Tambo in just three weeks.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court later this week.
