Drugs worth R1.7m seized in Krugersdorp

KRUGERSDORP - Two men have been arrested in Krugersdorp for possession of drugs worth over R1.7-million.

Gauteng Highway Patrol officers made the arrests during an intelligence-driven operation in Noordheuwel.

Police say they received information about drugs being stored at a house in the area.

While searching the property officers discovered a bag of drugs inside a car.

Further searches inside the house uncovered more drugs in a bedroom.

Two suspects aged 52 and 53 are expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
