DURBAN - The Durban Metro Police Training Academy is set for a major upgrade.
It's to enable the academy to comply with the legislative requirements of the Road Traffic Management Corporation.
Service delivery and crime-prevention programmes will also be enhanced.
While the remodel is welcomed, ActionSA in KZN condemns the proposed cuts in trainee salaries per the new model.
ActionSA KZN leader Zwakele Mncwango said they proposed that the city should do away with outsourcing.
