DURBAN - Durban’s Umgeni River Estuary and popular Blue Lagoon are plunging into a serious stink, polluted by untreated sewage for at least two years.
The eThekwini municipality is now working to avoid coughing up a hefty fine for failing to deal with the sewage spillage.

Earlier this month, the Green Scorpions environmental unit, threatened to fine the municipality up to two-million-rand.
