Eastern Cape police recover 100 stolen sheep worth R180,000

JOHANNESBURG - Eastern Cape police have recovered 100 stolen sheep.

Officers from the SAPS Tsolo Crime Prevention Unit acted within an hour of receiving a complaint about the missing livestock.

They tracked the flock to a nearby area, where it had been abandoned.

The sheep, valued at around R180,000, were found unharmed and returned to their owner.

No arrests have yet been made.

Police say investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
